Saving my daughter and granddaughter's home

My name is Carol Hull. I'm hoping to raise $7,500 for my daughter, Natalie, and 12-year-old granddaughter, Gwyn. They are at risk of losing their home. My daughter is a 7th grade math teacher. She has been teaching for 15 years. Due to an unforeseen medical condition, Natalie has been on a medical leave of absense from her job since October 5th, 2022.

Natalie has exhausted all of her paid time off and has depleted her savings. My daughter suffered a series of grand mal seizures on October 5th, 2022. She was taken via ambulance to the hospital where she was in the ICU for 5 days. Her neurologist placed her on medical leave for 90 days to monitor her condition and the medications he prescribed.

The plan was for Natalie to return to work on January 2nd, 2023. On December 27th, 2022, Natalie suffered another series of seizures. Again, she was taken to the hospital by ambulance where she spent another 5 days in the ICU. She was on a ventilator for just under 24 hours.

Upon discharge, the neurologist told Natalie she may not be able to return to her teaching position. He extended the medical leave through the end of May.

If she has no additional seizures, she can attempt to return to work in the fall.

Natalie plans to be healthy enough to return to teaching.

In the meantime, Natalie's only source of income us $281 a month in child support. The $7,500 I'm hoping to raise will help pay the mortgage and utlities from May through August.

I worry that the stress of not having the funds to cover her bills and provide for her daughter will trigger more seizures. My granddaughter has expressed the same concern.
