IAnyone who knows Racheal knows what this dog means to her. She is her life and her strength and has been with her through thick and thin over the last 6 years.......she is her child.
Racheal's words:
Ollie was being a typical dog and was chasing a cat and ran into a car... the guy stopped (he didn’t hit her) we knew she had a broken leg... she did some damage to his car,( she was running pretty darn hard) I asked Brian to go get my truck while I stayed with her so we only had to pick her up once rather than cause her more pain being carried. While we were waiting for him (about 1 minute or less) a woman came flying down the road didn’t see me, Ollie, a friend and the man who’s car she ran into.... nor did she see the lights on two vehicles in the road. Scott stood there waving for her to slow down so did the guy who stopped, she was coming at us full speed ahead. Scott grabbed me and threw me out of the way, the guy who stopped pushed Scott and he jumped out of the way.... the woman ran over Ollie right in front of me, Ollie went flying, the woman never stepped on the breaks before hitting her. She finally stopped..... (she was obviously on her phone not paying attention) as my Ollie laid there crying for help in front of me.... Thus far, this has been my absolute weakest moment of my life.... to see my Ollie lifeless like she was.
We picked her up, drove her 30 miles to the closet ER. They did CPR on her, gave her meds, trying to reduce swelling on her brain (she is fine neurology as of right now, this is just a precaution) she IS responding and tail wagging (I did get to see her)
She does however have 4 broken ribs, and 3 broken legs.... she will need surgery on 2 of the 3 legs.....
This girl is one hell of a fighter that’s for sure, she is in critical condition to say the least..... she did look at us and wagged her tail... I am still in shock, I can not believe this woman didn’t see two vehicles with lights on, and 3 people standing in the road.
