We are reaching out on behalf of the Cypriot Community Centre (CCC). The Cypriot Community Centre is a vital part of our North London neighbourhood.
It is a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone and a place where people can come together, share a meal, and connect with one another. The centre provides a place where people can go when they need support or just someone to talk to.
The Cypriot Community Centre offers various services and support for the Cypriot Community, including employment-related assistance, free legal advice, ophthalmic/optician services, community "surgeries" to find matching donors, and police liaison and advice. The CCC also maintains a register of people seeking work and connects them with employers while providing advice. The CCC collaborates closely with the Cyprus High Commission and Consul General to assist with pensions, passports, and welfare. The CCC Day Services provides a comprehensive program for elderly and young adult disabled Cypriots, including those with dementia, to prevent isolation and provide emotional and physical support. The CCC is a recognized Strategic Centre of Haringey.
The Cypriot Community Centre urgently needs our help to replace some of its minibuses. These minibuses are essential to transport severely disabled elderly members to and from the Centre and meet various traffic requirements such as the Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). Without these minibuses, many disabled individuals will be unable to attend the Centre and will be left without a social environment. We would greatly appreciate your support in helping us continue to provide this vital service to the community. The CCC has been serving and supporting the community since 1979, and your support will help us ensure that they continue to do so.
