Please Read This Real Rescue Story!
This is Pacino. He is a 8 month old Cane Corso pup who was rushed u to Bay Street Animal Hospital clinging for his life! After a human altercation, unfortunately got the worst of it. Pacino was hit in the head with a MACHETE .. severing through every layer of muscle/tissue, reaching his skull. Luckily, no bone was affected by the weapon. He was rushed into Bay Street Animal Hospital. Resulting in emergency surgery needed to save his life.
The owners could not afford the medical costs. I just happened to be there with another dog that was rescued earlier that day. Once the dog was surrendered, Dr. Ashley Aanonsen with no hesitation, jumped into emergency surgery with her team and was able to save this boys life! Surgery and recovery went well at Bay Street, until his sedation medications wore off.
When Mike tried to enter the truck, Pacino got extremely protective and started to act rambunctious. Pacino then started to lunge at Mike, causing a struggle that could’ve really got someone hurt!
After the tiresome task of finally getting Pacino into his condo, the next day, Mike took Pacino into the big yard with just them two.
He was lost, scared, and in pain. Mike could not get him back into his room with numerous attempts. He was showing every sign he was about to fight again.
Mike immediately called Steven from 203K9 in Connecticut, and asked them to please help this dog. He knew he was going to hurt somebody out of no fault of his own. Pacino needed training. Someone to understand him, and guide him in the right direction.
Mike, Priya, and Sara actually all slept outside that night. Just to make sure that Pacino was safe throughout the night outside in the yard.
Steven agreed to help the dog and came the next day to pick him up.
Pacino has been doing amazing with the trainers at 203k9 the past three weeks and now we need to cover the expense!
