Save Quinn and Dallas

Quinn, a Moluccan Cockatoo was bought from Houston’s Craigslist on June 29th 2021. The seller delivered him to the buyer. Shortly, Quinn’s new family knew something was terribly wrong. He could not stand up. They rushed him to the emergency hospital. He had multiple wing fractures (old and new), eye lacerations, tongue ulcer, renal disease, no appetite and very thin. His was treated with antibiotics, pain medication and his wings were wrapped. On July 4th we received a call from his family. They had to go back to work and they were concerned about leaving him alone in his fragile state. This family saved his life and brought him to us.

Quinn went to the vets again and he will stay in their care until at least Monday. Dr. Fronefield and his staff at ABC Animal & Bird Clinic, Sugarland Texas will do the best they can to save him.

Dallas, a bare eyed cockatoo was purchased directly from the owner by a lady that knew the bird was being abused. His cage was beaten up and he was too. The kind lady that got him out of there soon realized that she didn’t have the knowledge to take care of him and contacted a good friend of ours to come pick him up.

She immediately took him to the vets. The initial X-ray showed possible spine injury and a mass in his abdomen. He may also have a traumatic brain injury. We are waiting for the labs results.

In one week, we received two beautiful animals living a life of cruelty and neglect. How many more are out there? Please if you see something say something. Parrots are trapped in cages and cannot get away.

The medical bills are mounting for these two. We are asking for donations to help with their expenses. Every dollar counts and every dollar is spent on their care.
