Saving Sammi Faye’s

At some point in all of our lives, we will have to swallow our pride and ask for help. And my day has come.

I have prayed on this for months. Sat with it. Cried, screamed, and almost given up, hoping it would give me the answers to help me decide what the next right thing to do is. And the answer was always in front of me; I just didn’t want to see it. I have avoided it at all costs.

Asking for help.

I will address as much as I can. But in the meantime, to protect myself legally, I must speak with discretion. One day I will tell my story to the fullest extent. I promise you that.

This is what I will say on the matter.

I, Carrie Faye Ross, am the sole owner of Sammi Faye’s Cafe & Coffeehouse.

It was brought to my attention that someone associated with Sammi Faye’s was not who they claimed to be. I had no prior knowledge of this person's history or condone any of these actions. I encourage all of you to educate yourselves about the people who lead this town, who they support, and why. I encourage you to question their intentions and integrity. And the truth I will speak on one day is all public knowledge.

For now, all I can do is fight. Fight to be a part of the growth happening in this beautiful town we all call home. Fight to stand for what’s right. Fight to keep this safe place for the community open. And fight for my name.

Most of you don’t know me, but I know this town. I was a single mother of two beautiful children seeking a new start. Escaping a situation that I was unsure I’d ever break free from, and London welcomed me with open arms. I will forever be grateful for that.

Sammi Faye’s has always been about thanking this town for what it did for me. For giving me my life back when I thought it was over. Unfortunately, along the way, I crossed paths with evil, and I know that God doesn’t choose his strongest warrior for the weakest battles. I know he chose me for this one.

Today, I ask you for help to fight this battle. As I will fight for this community as long as I can. The goal: To reopen and keep this safe haven within our community. To pave the way for all of our women-owned businesses and protect them from the evil I have endured. I will not be silenced.

With that being said, anything helps. Even if it’s just your prayers and words of encouragement. I am grateful for it all.
