Saving Shelia

My name is John Gartmon, younger brother of Shelia Gartmon. On the night of Monday June 26th, around 10 o’clock PM my sister Shelia and her son, Sheldon, were heading home when a drunk driver struck her in a head on collision. The driver came across the road into the opposite lane, and ran over the top of Shelia’s car. Calls were made to the immediate family letting us know that Shelia was being rushed to the hospital. Sheldon, was able to somehow get out of the car. By the grace of God after the car was hit, Sheldon’s door remained open. He was able to ride home with an officer while Shelia took an ambulance to be checked at the hospital due to EMTs not being able to get a response out of her. Once she arrived, they let us know that Shelia’s had to be sent to the Trauma Unit and has been since, in critical condition. She is now beginning to mumble words and regaining strength in her fingers and toes. Still a bit weak, Shelia is pushing through her recovery. Her sons , Sheldon & Walter along with family & friends have been with her around the clock at the hospital. Monitoring her and talking with her in order to help her progress.

We would like to fundraise for Shelia & her boys so that they are able to fully cover medical expenses and can purchase anything that they lack throughout their time of need.
