Protecting Takyna rainforest & Swift Parrot-Fines

Hi this is Lazuli and Sue asking for some assistance with our costs from court cases.

We are environmental protectors. We both have spent a lot of our lives doing whatever we can to protect the environment particularly from destructive logging and draconian forestry practices of native forests everywhere including our own Takyna in Tasmanian, Australia's version of Amazonian rainforests. We feel strongly it is our duty as earths guardians and protectors alongside Indigenous people's everywhere, to protect threatened species and plants and waterways from irreparable damage and extinction. Habitat, animals and plants. Sky and ocean included.

Sometimes we need to put our bodies in front of the destructive practices as the last resort to stop ✋️ the terrible and senseless and unsustainable and dangerous destruction.

It is always peaceful, respectful and non violent actions.

We get arrested sometimes and because our precious nature is not considered to be worth protecting by our governments and scientific evidence is not heeded at all, then we are treated as criminals and arrested taken to court, and fined or worse could happen in the future.

The fines get bigger and bigger the more times we get arrested.

So at the moment our fines and court costs for the past couple actions are about $3500.

If you happen to have any excess finances and you appreciate and support what we are trying to do then we would greatly appreciate a little help to pay the fines and costs.

We also know many of you, our friends, already work hard doing lots of important things to make the world a better place as well. We appreciate and support your efforts as well sometimes
