Saving Sydney’s Life (Emergency Surgery)
Donation protected
Latest Update: Sydney is alive and well! We are so grateful for all the donations! This is the only way she was able to live, and we are forever grateful. Turns out it was even worse than we thought. She did not eat anything, despite it appearing like a blockage of a fabric like substance in her X-ray. Turns out, she had so much dead tissue in her intestines and they had twisted so bad, it appeared that way. Sydney had a surgery to untwist her intestines, cut off the dead intestine, and re-sew the remaining intestine back together. She ate her first meal in 4 days this morning, and felt well enough to go for a walk! While recovering from this surgery isn’t certain, she has a very high likelihood of recovering just fine. Thanks again for everyone who helped. She is getting re-united with our family tonight, her 2 year old human is very excited to see her best friend again.
Update: Sydney got rushed into surgery at Sweet Home Veterinary Hospital. Turns out it was worse than we thought, and we are still in dire need of donations. If you find it in your heart to donate, you can do it here or directly through the vet.
Our dog, 4 years young, has a bowel obstruction and needs immediate surgery. She is the sweetest, most nurturing dog who would take a bullet for us. Please help us save her life. She just left Willamette Veterinary Clinic in Corvallis and is home waiting for her only option, surgery. Please please if you can find it in your heart to help her, she has a toddler at home who would be so devastated if she didn’t make it. She does not have much time left.
