Louisville Naval Museum: USS Ling Recovery
Donation protected
We are the Louisville Naval Museum. Currently we are working to recover the USS Ling SS-297, which is a WW2 Balao class submarine that is stuck in the Hackensack river, NJ. She was flooded around 2014 and has since sat full of water and in need of rescue since the property adjacent to her was redeveloped. Our museum is working to recover her and move her for restoration and then display. If you love history and wish to help save a piece of it that is in danger of scrapping, please consider donating. It is through your donations that we have been successful in getting her ready to travel down river to a safe place for refit.
