Saving the Red Road House

Donation protected
The RED ROAD HOUSE, a residence for recovering alcoholics/addicts in Rock County, is struggling financially. Billy Bob Grahn, its founder and manager since 1992, has mentored around 500 individuals over these 33 years to help them heal and return as whole productive citizens to our community. His poor health and the drying up of funding could now lead to its shutting down. Funding has never come easily: addiction is not a popular topic – Billy Bob has often used his own money to keep the doors open – and his last grant, a COVID recovery grant, ended in January 2025. Billy Bob anticipates that he can keep the house operating for another two months without help to sustain this most valuable community resource. The Red Road House fills a gap in much needed services in our county. As Janesville police officer Chad Woodman reminds us, the Red Road House has been “a lifeline for the people who were lucky enough to stay there.”

Your contribution in keeping the Red Road House operating, no matter the amount, matters. Please consider being a part of the collective that keeps this vital resource in our community!
