Pike Place Market : Food Delivery by Savor Seattle

As the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic, Seattle’s tourism and restaurant industries have crumbled in a matter of weeks. Our community is now hurting in ways that no one could have ever predicted.  

We need your help!

Savor Seattle  is a food tour company based in Pike Place Market. A statewide shutdown of restaurants and bars  means we can’t bring people to the Market. So we will help bring the Market right to people’s doorsteps instead!


What are we proposing?

We are collaborating with restaurants and shops in Pike Place Market to launch a service where customers can order food from multiple Market partners from one centralized place, brought directly to people’s doors in one delivery.

Unlike UberEats and other services where you order from one restaurant at a time getting one meal at a time, this new service will enable you to potentially order 2-3 days’ worth of already prepared food for your stressed out, stuck-at-home families with kids, from a cross section of Seattle’s best foods and drinks.

It’s like a food basket of your favorite Pike Place foods delivered directly to your home!

Think Piroshky Piroshky, Rachel's Ginger Beer, Pike Place Fish, Ellenos Yogurt, Pike Place Chowder, and Beecher's Mac & Cheese…all at once in your fridge ready for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We'll even throw in a pack of gum so you can make your own gum wall at home! ;-)

Even if you don’t personally live in Seattle, maybe you have a family member or friend who does. Sending them a delivery of Market meals is a way to show your love and care for them, even when you're not there in person.

What is Savor Seattle?

My name is Angela Shen and I’m the founder of Savor Seattle.

13 years ago, I started Savor Seattle as a one-woman show, taking hungry guests on progressive meals through some of Seattle’s best restaurants and eateries. Now alongside a small but mighty team, we are ambassadors showing off Seattle's hard-working food community!

The Covid-19 pandemic and recent statewide closure of all restaurants and bars are crippling the tourism and food industry, leaving thousands of jobs decimated in a matter of days, including at our small company. For Savor Seattle, that means temporarily suspending tour operations until this summer. We furloughed all tour guides. The four of us who remain, voluntarily took wage and hour cuts, starting with me on the very day that the Coronavirus broke. I will continue to NOT pay myself so that my small team that’s left can hold onto their jobs a little longer.



What would Seattle be without Pike Place Market?

We NEED this place to be around when this is all over. The Market is Seattle’s heart and soul and the place we at Savor Seattle call home.



How can I help?

We are in a state of crisis and we need your help! Your donation will help us still support multiple Seattle restaurants all at once and serve the Seattle community differently. For us to begin operating tours again this summer, we need restaurants and food places to be OPEN to take people to. So it's our job TODAY to help keep these iconic Seattle restaurants alive, even when their brick and mortar locations have temporarily closed.

For every order placed, we’d like to donate a portion of proceeds to the Market Community Safety Net Fund, which provides emergency support to those who need it most during this crisis. And to be clear, Savor Seattle does NOT have access to this Safety Net fund. We are in this simply to find a win-win that supports our entire community.


How will you use the funds?

Your donation today enables us to keep the lights on, gives tour guides their jobs back, and puts them to work bringing the Market to your doorstep. We need your donations to buy food inventory from restaurants and supplies like bags and ice packs. Your donation will enable us to get the website built, and the marketing needed to spread the word about it.
