SAY “GOOD-BYE EARL” & Support our Amber Hopper

Donation protected
Dear family, friends, past and future supporters,

I am Cindy, Amber Hopper's mom. Last June, my hubby and I embarked on an adventure. We retired, sold our home in California, and bought a Nudist Resort & RV Park. We moved to Edcouch, Texas, where we found our new home. My children were grown, they all had good health and provided grandchildren that we adore.

At the end of January, I was enjoying the park life. I was thrilled to join 17 ladies from the park on a 5-day cruise from Galveston, Texas.

But as the ship was leaving, my oldest daughter tried to contact me. She said, "Don't go!!" Her sister Amber was bleeding profusely. She had Stage 4 cancer.

Amber's tumor caused life-threatening bleeding. She spent two weeks in the hospital while doctors tried to stop it. They also started the treatment in hopes to kill "Earl", the 6-cm tumor and the cancer cells that spread beyond it.

We named the tumor "Earl" after the song Good-Bye Earl by the Dixie Chicks. He was a bad man who had to go. But he wouldn't go without a fight. We had to fight him with everything we had. The song was popular when Amber was a teen and it helped us express our emotions.

You are wonderful! We appreciate your love and generosity so much in this difficult time. You helped us cope with our feelings. Amber and her awesome family of husband, two sons, and their adorable dog want to express their gratitude to you (see their message below).

You supported us in many ways: prayers, cards, meals, special foods, childcare, flowers, plants, blankets, cozies, and more. You also gave us financial support that helped with the extra costs.
You are incredible! Thanks to your generous donations, of over $12,000, we were able to use every dollar wisely ... on a new Will, medical bills, and a holistic approach (vitamin infusions, nutrition advice, acupuncture, etc) that reduced the chemo side effects and strengthened Amber to keep fighting.

You have made a huge impact on Amber's life, and we are so thankful for your support.
Please continue to help us by clicking on the link below and donating what you can.

Also, please share my campaign with your friends and contacts. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and compassion.

A note from the Hopper Family ~~
Hello Everyone,
We wanted to get a quick update out to all of you wonderful supporters ahead of the busy summer!

The Hopper family is beyond grateful for all of the love and support they continue to receive. We could not ask for a better group of family, friends, medical team, community members, etc. Truly, Thank you!

Amber is making great progress fighting this disease. Many thanks go to her medical team, care group and the very generous donations from her financial supporters that have helped support her with medical care deductibles and treatments that combat the downside of cancer treatment. Her medical team has been exemplary with thoughtful suggestions throughout treatment; the ice gloves, coconut water, diet recommendations and supplements to name a few. We have utilized all of the amazing gifted items, monies and time from our wonderful supporters during those treatments and recovery at home.

As dim as the outlook was with the cancer prognosis, we are THRILLED to share news of positive progress. As surreal as the last update was, we still have a long road ahead of us. We are scarily hopeful after receiving the last update that tells us that treatment is working. We pray for more positive test results as the cancer treatment continues. We plan to enjoy the summer with the boys. Taking nothing for granted we are looking forward to warm sunny days with many laughs and memories to be made. We are continuing to expand activities when energy & schedules allow. We hope that you continue to keep us in your thoughts & prayers.

With much love, The Hoppers. <3
