Saying Farewell to Tyler's and Mat's Mom
Donation protected
Lori Banks was taken away from us unexpectedly this week, and we want to give her a beautiful farewell in Bloomington, Indiana. She was a loved daughter, mother, sister, girlfriend and friend. She is survived by her two sons Tyler and Mat, her parents Bob and Wilma, her siblings Deana, Kevin and Randy, and her partner of 10 years, John. Tyler and his husband Mike are running this GoFundMe and will coordinate final expenses with the family. Please help us if you can, we truly appreciate your help and for keeping our family in your thoughts.
Update (March 26th, 2019): Thank you for all of the love and support! We have been humbled by the generosity and community we've found in this difficult time.
The funeral arrangements have been finalized today, and we are planning the following:
Tomorrow, on Wednesday, March 27th, 2019, there will be visitation for the general public from 4PM to 9PM at
Refuge Assembly of God
1541 IN-157, Bloomfield, IN 47424
(812) [phone redacted]
which is Lori's place of worship.
On Thursday, March 28th, 2019, there will be another visitation for the public from 11AM to 1PM at Refuge Assembly of God, with a church service provided by the pastor at 1PM. Following thereafter we will hold a graveside service and the burial at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, Indiana. The cemetery is immediately across Gore Road from the following church
Assembly of God Church
9181 S Gore Rd, Harrodsburg, IN 47434
We were able to submit an obituary to the Harold's Time for tomorrow's print, as well. Thank you again to everyone for your help,
Sincerely,
Tyler and Mike
P. S. - Tyler and I were able to visit the farm where Lori, Tyler and Mat spent seven years in Spencer, IN - and were able to recreate one of Tyler's childhood memories! Lori loved horses and the picture below shows his very first horse ride as a child. The horses are gone now, but not the spirit!
