Saying Goodbye to Sadie: and welcoming Frankie!

Update: I am re-opening this fundraiser, as Mano has a new dog in his life, Frankie. Mano thinks Frankie is about two years old, and has been passed around a bit, form home to home. He's found a soft landing now. Mano wants to get him to the vet for a check-up and we will find resources for inexpensive neuter, vaccines, etc. So many of you were so generous in helping with Sadie, and I am so glad that a dog in need has found a safe and loving home. Previous post: My name is Miriam Love, and I am fundraising for our neighbour Manuel Baron, who had to say goodbye to his constant companion and best friend, Sadie, yesterday. If you live in OEV, chances are you've seen Manuel and Sadie out for walks, resting under trees, and visiting with neighbours and friends together.

Although she was young, Sadie suffered from a degenerative nerve disease. She had an increasingly difficult time getting around and had recently lost all ability to move her hind legs.

Manuels's decision to give Sadie a good death yesterday was painful but kind. I hope to raise some funds to help cover the costs of euthanasia and cremation, which are significant for Manuel. Any small donation will be very much appreciated. Thank you.
