Saying Goodbye to Sludge's Flow
Tax deductible
As many of you know, since the pandemic started 3 years ago, I started growing out my hair. Much to my chagrin, it is time for the flow to go. Flow like this can't be cut without some sort of extravaganza though...
On 3/23 I turn 30 and for my birthday, I wanted to celebrate by raising some awareness for JDRF. Something many don't know is that on 3/23/1976, my mother, at the age of 13, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. On my birthday, 17 years before I was even a twinkle in her eye, she was given a diagnosis that would change her life forever. March 23rd has always been a significant day for my mom, as even though it is her JDRF diagnosis anniversary, it was also the day she was able to deliver her 2nd child, all-the-while, battling Type 1 Diabetes. For the last 47 years, my mom has overcome the daily plights of Type 1 Diabetes and continued to adapt in the fight for a cure.
So this GoFundMe has a two-prong donation: 1) on 3/10/23 @ 7pm I will be donating my hair to Locks of Love @ Ferris Wheelers Backyard and BBQ and 2) raising money to directly benefit JDRF, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
