Hi, my name is Courtney, and the sweet little kitty on the banner is my girl Saylor. She has been my angel during the last year and a half. When my cat Felicia passed away from cancer in 2021, I decided to visit a local cat cafe for some kitty therapy. Only a day had passed, but I knew it would help. That's where I met Saylor. She crawled into my lap the second I sat down, and I knew she and I were in trouble. I wasn't sure if I was ready for another cat, but there was something about Saylor that just felt right. I applied for her adoption that night, and visited her everyday until the adoption application was approved. She came home with me a month later, and she's been my little shadow ever since. She is the cuddliest cat I have ever come across in my entire life. She will go out of her way to hop in my lap and position herself for me to hold her like a baby. She loves forehead kisses and deli turkey and pumpkin puree. She saves me from lizards, but can't be bothered by ground squirrels and mice. She loves stroller walks, bowls of almond milk, scrambled eggs, and pawing at my computer screen when I'm playing something interesting. She usually sleeps right against my legs at night, and during the holidays, she brings me the softest ornaments she can reach and leaves them for me while I'm asleep.
Last Sunday, I noticed she wasn't eating. She usually comes running when her food is ready, but when I woke up, I noticed that her breakfast had been left alone, and then her lunch was left untouched as well. So, I took her in.
The original thought was that she had lymphoma. I was devastated. She wasn't improving, and I didn't want to get my hopes up. I'd already lost one cat to cancer-- and I was about to lose another.
A few days later, her test results came back, and it's not lymphoma-- instead, it's something called Feline Infectious Peritonitis, or FIP. It's fatal and agressive...however, it does give me a little more time.
I was given information about a cure that is not on the market, but has shown really good results. Unfortunately, it is extremely expensive. That's why I need help. Her past medical bills have taken a huge bite out of my pocket, and I have very little to spare. Anything you give is appreciated.
Please help me give my girl her life back.
