Dear Friends & Family,
As many of you may know, I am embarking on a trip to Ireland to compete in the IUKL World Kettlebell Championship as a member of Team Canada. It has always been a dream of mine to represent Canada in a sporting event and soon my dream will come true!
I've been using Kettlebells since 2010 but it has only been in the past year and a half that I've crossed over to the sport side. I have participated in several competitions since May of 2014 and was named to Team Canada in July of this year. This sport has truly changed my life and I have the fortune of sharing my passion for Kettlebell sport with others through my career.
The IUKL Kettlebell World Championship will be held in Dublin, Ireland November 25-29th and I'm excited and honored to be representing our nation!
So far I have raised a large portion of my financial goal through a fundraising Kettlebell event we hosted at our gym. This event gave participants a chance to compete in a more relaxed environment and was a great way for beginners to get a feel for Kettlebell sport. Our team also had a chance to showcase their hard work and gave the spectators an opportunity to see what we do and why we love this sport. Thank you to all that came out to participate, donated funds, and cheered us on. You all lent a hand in the positive and energetic atmosphere of the day! Together we raised close to $1200!
The Canadian National Kettlebell Team is not funded and currently relies on team members to finance and train on their own to participate in these competitions. The funding that I am asking for your help with will cover the final costs of my uniform, registration fee, airfair, travel costs and accomodations.
Thank you so much to those who have supported me in my journey thus far, both financially and personally. I am forever grateful and recognize that it is a privilege and honor to receive support of any kind.
Ireland here we go!
Thank you for your support!
