Help Mohammed and His Family Evacuate Gaza to Safe

I am Mohammed Zaqout, 24 years old Palestinian young man from Gaza. I am like any Palestinian refugee with ancestors from my original town of Majdal (currently Ashkelon) to the Gaza Strip.

We were born and grew up here in the Gaza Strip and established our own happy and secure life, and we hoped to return to my original town, Majdal.

I graduated from the College of Engineering and Information Technology last summer.

The picture below is during my graduation from the Faculty of Engineering, Al-Azhar University, Gaza .

Unfortunately, the future I imagined was cut short. After October 7, we had to evacuated our house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood where I live in Gaza City to southern Gaza. I remember that night when I was watching TV in horror as I looked at the endless explosions that made the sand uninhabitable. Since then, my family and I have fled for our safety, and have now evacuated 6 times. With the start of the attacks on the city of Rafah in southern Gaza, there was nowhere else to go in Gaza.

We were counting down the days until we could return to our home in Gaza City; Even though there was no electricity or running water, my family and I sat on the hot coals until the day we were able to return. Until we received the heartbreaking and sad news that our house had been completely demolished.
