My name is Alla and this is my nephew Georgii, who needs a surgery for Cerebral Palsy.

• First of all, let me express outmost gratitude for your financial support, involvement and prayers. You are giving this child an opportunity to receive a medical treatment that will improve quality of life and hopefully give him courage to face challenges that accompany this condition for the rest of his life.

• Approximate expenses for surgeries, treatments, rehabilitation, physical therapy, equipment, travel, visas, accommodation are well over the means my family can come up with on a short notice. Georgii has an opportunity to go to Greece in April for his special surgery and we greatly appreciate any donation on your part. • Georgii is a very smart, joyful 9 year old boy. He has stage 3-4 Cerebral Palsy, which is a condition affecting muscle movement and coordination. He has an opportunity to have a surgery that will improve his ability to walk, stand, sit independently.

• As of now Georgii’s muscle spasticity prevents him from walking correctly, sitting upright, use his arms and fingers freely. It is very difficult to maintain balance and posture. Georgii’s hands are too stiff to be able to hold utensils and feed himself. He needs assistance with majority of his daily routine. It is heartbreaking to look at him when other kids are running, jumping, wrestling, freely playing around him and he can only express emotions of happiness and joy but not be able to join them physically.

•Georgii’s case was evaluated by one of top US orthopedic surgeon. Doctor suggested SPML surgery-specific technique to lengthen muscles in order to improve movement ability. It is imperative to have this kind of surgery, before Georgii has growth spurt which can cause body deformities, frozen joints, further loss of flexibility and mobility. Doctor stresses importance of surgery now to PREVENT big damage in future that would require invasive surgeries.
