INHALE: Let's make Nashville venues safer!

INHALE loves Nashville's creative scene and we want to see it thrive. As performers ourselves, we feel the tension between wanting to express ourselves in the community and also in wanting to keep ourselves and our friends safe in the ongoing pandemic.

Focusing on air quality in our shows and venues is a currently an under-represented layer of protection against airborne illness and we feel it is vital to the continued health of the scene as a whole.

Since this is a costly endeavor, we have to rely on community fundraising to help invest back into our performance scene. Once we have the funds, we can purchase HEPA purifiers, additional filters, and masks to provide *at no charge* to events and event organizers. We truly believe this is the next step in taking back control and pursuing a healthy environment for performers and event attendees alike.

We believe in a future where Covid-safer events are not only possible, they are the norm. You can help us protect Nashville and pave the way for a future where we protect each other while pursuing our passions. While there is still a risk of catching viruses while in public, there are many ways to help mitigate this risk. We believe that providing free resources to our community to bolster this defense is a necessary next step in the evolution of the Nashville performing arts scene.

To make this happen, we are raising funds to purchase:

*the list is slightly modified as of 1/11/24 as I realize the sizing of some of our go-to venues is going to necessitate that I prioritize larger units. I did not adjust the funding goal at this time, but did include the price breakdown above!

These will allow us to filter clean air in shows at the rate necessary for Covid safety: How much ventilation is enough?
