Service Dog for Epilepsy

Hi my name is Jacqueline and for the past 7 years I have been struggling with a seizure disorder. It started when I was 14 and it wasn’t diagnosed until the age of 15. It affected me to the point where I had to be homeschooled. The thing with my seizures is that my doctors didn’t believe me at first. I would wake up out of no where on the floor with dry vomit on myself. After a seizure I lose consciousness for hours sometimes days. Due to having these seizures a lot of “normal” activities have been restricted. The scary thing about all of this is that I never know when I’ll get seizure. I don’t have what they call auras. During the worst seizures my heart stops, I stop breathing. I then end up in the hospital. I want to return to these normal activities like going to the store alone or without being supersized or babysat or going out in the ministry preaching the good news. I would be able to continue with my pioneering without being scared. What would help me according to doctors is a service dog. These dogs are trained according to the personals medical needs. In my case the dog would alert me in time before I have a seizure so that way I have time to reach a safe place or to ask for help. The dog would accompany me at all places. It’s more of a medical need than a personal want. The training for the dog is very pricey. It costs me money that I don’t have ($37,000-$40,000). So I ask that you thoughtfully consider helping me out. Anything helps. Thank you for taking your time to read this.
