Help rebuild the Palestine Equestrian Club

Donation protected
Meet Lady, Sandy, Rua’, and many of their friends.

These horses have had a terribly rough year. Their stable was destroyed in January 2024, and this winter (during February and March 2025) many of the temporary replacement structures were damaged by storms. We need your help to rebuild their home and create a safe haven for these horses and their riders.

Khaled Afranji opened the Palestinian Equestrian Club in 2017, creating a beautiful space for around 30 horses, and opening it to the local community to learn how to ride, take care, and be around these majestic animals. He took particular interest in making the space and lessons available and accessible for children with special needs, as well as putting on events and bringing the community together.

In 2024, the Palestinian Equestrian Club was attacked, and the stables and the other structures were completely destroyed. Several horses were injured in the attack, and in the months following, two have died. It has been heartbreaking for the community, the riders, and the children.

Khaled has stayed throughout this ongoing crisis, as the horses are his top priority. He works long hours and into the night, often sleeping in the stables, and making sure that all the remaining horses are safe, well fed, and taken care of.

He has managed, with the support of this campaign and through his own significant personal debt, to erect a temporary structure to house some of the horses, as well as new stable rooms for the others. He is forced to house some of the horses together in larger rooms, making conditions tough for the horses even in good weather. But as winter came around this year, the storms, heavy rain, and wind damaged the area more, destroying the temporary roofing, solar energy battery unit, and other key structures for the horses.

Now is the time for the community to offer a helping hand to Khaled and the horses. We want to collect a total sum of 50,000 pounds (now 39,000 pounds after previous donations) to rebuild what was destroyed and expand the current structures to offer our family of horses more space and comfort, better healthy conditions, and bring back the children and rebuild our community.

The funds will be used as follows;
6 Stable rooms + Roofing = 12,000 pounds
Small training arena fencing = 2,500 pounds
Large training arena fencing = 7,500 pounds
Solar panels and electricity = 4,000 pounds
Water systems = 2,000 pounds
Permanent Bathrooms = 2,000 pounds
Communal area/ benches/ cafeteria = 2,000
New equipment for horses (Pads, saddles, combs….etc) = 7,000 pounds

We need your help today.

Your donation not only helps rebuild the stables but directly impacts the lives of the horses that depend on us. These animals have been through so much, and we can give them the life they deserve with your help.

Even if you can't donate, you can help by sharing this campaign with your friends and family. The more people who know about our cause, the more support we can receive.
