Scammed, Shaken, Seeking Assistance

Donation protected

Admittedly stubborn to a fault, I hate asking people for help, but honestly don't know what else to do at the moment.

Unfortunately, my mother was scammed over the weekend, and not only did she get conned into providing enough information for her own checking account to get completely depleted, she also shared enough details to somehow get my account wiped clean as well.

I truly hate asking for help of any kind - especially financially, but am sadly begging for it now. Whether it's $5 or $50, every little bit helps. To all those who have taken the time to read this, I truly thank you, and to anyone who can generously spare a few dollars, I shall be eternally grateful. Thank you so much.

Sincerely,

Craig Rozniecki

UPDATE: Since I've been informed there have been questions pertaining to the matter, I thought I'd attempt to answer them the best I could.

First off, here's essentially what transpired. - https://abc11.com/amazon-scam-gift-card.../10406766/

The scammer posed as an Amazon IT person; said my mom was having issues with her phone/Amazon account, so he seized access of it in order to fix said problem. He asked her questions in order to garner a better idea of how to access my account, as both she and I have accounts at the same bank. The person transferred 95% of my funds over to her, before then milking her for 95% of her funds (meaning both of our funds). Nobody has been able to help. The Amazon Fraud Department said there was nothing they could do. Similar with our bank.

My mom feels awful, as I'm a single father, with a 4-year-old boy who's had a multitude of health issues since birth (as he was born with severe club-feet). I created the fundraising page to try and not only keep us both afloat financially, but to ease the shame, embarrassment, and guilt she feels. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Thank you.

UPDATE: I've added a photo of a letter sent to me by the banker who has worked on my mother's and my case, with his signature, to confirm its validity. Thanks again for all your support.

UPDATE: The bank provided us with a "temporary provisional credit" for our losses until the investigation concluded. As the funds weren't guaranteed upon the completion of said investigation, we opted not to spend any of it - as, if we did so, and the bank ruled against refunding us, we'd thereby be forced to pay back any money we spent. Well, we just received word the bank has decided not to provide us with any reimbursements, so the "temporary provisional credit" has been removed. I was temporarily ceasing to spread further word about the situation until the investigation concluded, but since it has and without providing us any refunds, I'll now continue to reach out for donations. Whether it's $5 or $100, any and all donations are greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
