Donations for the Schieb Family

Siblings Chris and Nicole Schieb were headed to Carowinds for some family fun Thursday night, when they were struck by a drunk driver. Nicole, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department 911 operator, was killed in the crash. Her 11-year-old niece (the daughter of Officer Chris Schieb) was critically injured.
 
Nicole, a single mother, leaves behind a 3-year-old son named Parker. She served the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community as a telecommunicator for nearly 6 years.
 
CMPD Officer Chris Schieb has been with the police department for more than a decade. His daughter, Ashley, is in the pediatric intensive care unit with very serious injuries. Chris’s son, 6-year-old Logan, was not with the family (Thank God!) because he isn’t tall enough for the big rides at Carowinds. Chris and his wife were not seriously injured in the crash.
 
In addition to his full-time duties as a police officer, Chris regularly works off-duty assignments to help support his family. Please keep the Schieb family in your thoughts and prayers during this extremely difficult time.
