Schield Centre Primary School Kenya

In 2016 I met Don and Lorraine Pink whose daughter Trina and her husband run a primary school in Kenya. Don and Lorraine have been fundraising for a few years now where they print calendars and sell them for $25 each. When I asked "Why are you selling these calendars?", they explained their goal is to raise US$30,000 to add three additional classrooms to the existing school, build a library and administration room, upgrade the electricity connection and fitout the classrooms.  From there I have spoken directly to their daughter Trina in Kenya and I was so impressed with what they are trying to achieve with so little funding for these beautiful children that I thought I would call on all my friends and family and ask them to also ask their friends and family so that we can  reach our goal. All donations big and small will be so greatly appreciated. 

Every cent raised goes directly into the bank account for the school - it is not poached by Government Officials.  We are registered with an ABN number and are in the process of gaining charity certification. Unfortunately at the moment donations are not tax deductible, but we can issue a receipt.

The only way change can be achieved is through education and this is highly valued by the community who will go to extraodinary lenghts to ensure their children atten
