Schiltz Family

Last November, my close friend Kelsey was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer. She and her husband Adam have two young daughters, ages 3 and 1. She has done 6 rounds of chemo and is now preparing for two surgeries in a couple of weeks. After an MRI a few weeks ago, she found that her 5 cm tumor had shrunk but is still 2cm. Because of this, a decision has been made for her to continue her treatment. Some of the treatments recommended by her doctor are not covered by insurance and will add to mounting medical bills. This young family has faced this journey with courage and faith. Kelsey has had to go on disability at work as the treatments were difficult, and will be off work for at least 3 months recovering from her surgery. Cancer is difficult on so many levels, but the financial costs can be devastating to a young family. This family has felt the love and support of many and appreciates the prayers, the meals, and supportive messages. They have seen God bless them in so many ways throughout this journey. We ask first and foremost for continued prayers for Kelsey and her family. If you feel led to make a donation to help with medical bills and other ongoing bills, please know that they are grateful and thank you from the bottom of their hearts.
