Schmidt Family Fire Support

On the evening of Sunday, June 26th a fire started in the kitchen of Randy & Lindsy's house. Thank goodness their wonderful neighbors, Barb and Gary, discovered it and called the fire department. Randy, Lindsy, Grace and Grant were not home at the time. Their two dogs made it out and are doing well however, their cat, June, passed due to smoke inhalation. At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown. They are working with their insurance company, fire inspector, mitigation and restoration companies. While the fire was contained to the kitchen and dining room the entire house has extensive smoke damage. They are staying with family as they determine a longer-term plan while displaced from their home. Lindsy runs an at-home childcare center, so her business is also displaced.

Many friends, family and community members have asked how they can help support them.At this time, it is too early to know what can be saved and what will need to be replaced.
