Schnitzel Haus needs support

Update: We have finally secured an addendum to our current lease. We unfortunately lost our 2nd floor party room but at least we are still open. Praying this shutdown goes away quickly otherwise all these negotiations were a waste of time.
We are still doing homeless care packages and elderly shut-in deliveries i you are interested in supporting.

Update: our landlord will be taking back 1/2  of the restaurant to start. 

If we can come up with the balance of the rent he will allow us to stay and continue our  lease. 

We have spent the past few months attempting to negotiate with our landlord but we have been unable to negotiate anything positive. 
Schnitzel Haus has become a staple in Bay Ridge in my opinion. At the beginning my parents and my family were the only ones that believed  in my dream. 

It has been a very difficult road first they foreclosed on our building 6 years ago and we were foreclosed on our house last year BUT we didn’t give up.

After losing our son Richie at the young age of 26 a few months ago We were and still are very devastated. I Sat and argued with myself and my wife for the last month and said no matter what I will fight for our family business. i was taught to never give up but i am not that strong man anymore.

We were hoping our landlord would negotiate with us but to date we have failed to come to terms, Currently we have no choice but to pay the arrears by September when our protection from the state is lifted on August 20th. 

We have already wiped out what was left of my 401K, our bank accounts and the kids but as a family we all agreed to try to keep our doors open in memory of mom dad and especially Richie. he was always proud of what he helped build in our community.

We were able to get merchant funding for 25K after All the fees we will walk away with 20 K we are reaching out to our community, friends and family to see if we can keep our family dream alive.

I still have not regained my full faith in God but time may heal. I pray he, mom dad and Richie will help us succeed.
