Jack Perlongo, Missouri Evans Scholar

Jack Perlongo, a Missouri Evans Scholar, was on a study abroad trip in Italy when he had to be sent home to receive medical attention. He was soon diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer found in his soft tissue. He immediately began his treatments in late November and will continue them in the coming months. Jack was not able to finish his last semester at Mizzou this spring and plans to come back in August. Even in such a trying time, Jack remains extremely positive and always has a smile on his face. He is eager to return to Mizzou this fall.
 
            At the Missouri Chapter we consider ourselves a family. When someone in our family is hurting we are there for them and help in whatever way possible. Since Jack’s diagnosis, we have all come together to support a fellow scholar and good friend. We decided to start this page and host a Bingo night at a local restaurant in Columbia to raise money for his medical bills and family needs.
 
We strongly believe finances should not be a worry, as him and his family should be putting his health first. We would kindly ask for any donations possible as Jack and his family go through this tough time. Thank you all for your support.
