Scholarship to honor "Dr. Bob" McIntyre

Dr. Bob McIntyre, a lifelong Westwood resident, was the beloved husband of Susan and dad to "his boys" - Connor, Luke, Brennan and Graham. Bob was an extraordinarily gifted physician who cared deeply about his patients and colleagues and was a mentor and educator to many. Bob, who proudly served as Medical Director of the Campion Center and later as Chief of Internal Medicine at South Shore Hospital, was known for his compassion, intelligence, kindness, and humor. To honor Bob's dedication to his colleagues and family and his commitment to patient care, we are establishing a scholarship for a graduating Westwood High School senior who plans to enter a healthcare profession. We hope you will join us in honoring Bob's legacy by contributing to this fund drive.

Go Fund Me requires transparency in how the funds are to be distributed once they are received so I am updating this information here. The beneficiary of this fundraiser will the Westwood Community Scholarship Group. They will hold the funds in their account and distribute the annual scholarship. The Westwood Community Scholarship Group requires that we give them a check, versus and electronic transfer so, initially, the funds will be transferred into the checking account of the organizer (Patricia Conway) and she will write the check and deliver it to Westwood Community Scholarships. We are so grateful for the wonderful friends, colleagues and family members who have helped fund this scholarship, which will honor Bob and help aspiring healthcare workers!
