To family & friends, one of the most significant losses we experience in life are the loss of loved ones. The loss leaves a huge impact when loved ones pass away young and untimely. 2 years ago, our beloved Burhan Ahmed Hanif passed away from a sudden heart attack at age 33. Loss is hard, and so is the grieving process.

To honor his memories, you all helped us create a scholarship under his name at Nassau Community College and raise $10,000.

This scholarship fund has been helping educate other young people like Burhan who need that extra help to achieve their dreams. We want to continue to help others and ask for your support so that we can come together to honor his legacy.

Burhan was a hardworking man who supported his family in all facets while working full-time and attending school part-time as a math and computer science major. He was close to fulfilling his dreams, but he was not given the time in his lifetime to do so. Let’s come together and help someone like Burhan so that they can be given the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.

This is a reminder for all of us to live each day to the fullest and do all the things we came to do on earth because any moment can be anyone's last. “The past is history, the future is a mystery, and this moment is a gift. That is why this moment is called ‘the present’.” Enjoy your present.
