We have birthed Dream Reclamation, Energy and Ancestral Healing, and Matriarchal Praxis School (DREAM School). Our next class is EQUINOX Dreaming Awake. Beginning each equinox (next on September 22), a 16 week online intensive to dream with ancestors and landscapes - emotional, geographic, and astrological. We are reducing the tuition price from $2222 to $400. We are opening the enrollment from 6 spaces to 40 spaces. We have invited two teachers into our teacher trainer program. Please welcome Zakiya (she/they) and Tauri (he/they)!
zakiya bediako is a student of black indigenous tradition. They have inherited responsibilities and gifts from the seers, farmers, artists, griots, gatekeepers & prophetic dreamers in their ancestral line. bediako is a decolonialist , reflecting praxis through songwerk, teaching, and afrofuturist beam. Their current focus is medicine making & guiding the collective through dream & grief work.
Tauri Moton is an androgynous freelance writer, stay at home parent, student, medium and hoodoo practitioner. The focus of their work is to normalize the presence and healing of trans/GNC people in spiritualist spaces.
BACKGROUND
In 2019, I founded W3AVING W3BS (pronounced Weaving Webs), a conscious startup based in Spirit-Led entrepreneurship, social practice art and grassroots organizing. All programming and services within W3AVING W3BS are rooted in an Afro-Indigenous spirituality and Matriarchal Praxis framework, weaving traditional Indigenous African dream practices into healing from colonial economic and environmental practices.
The DREAM School was established in 2020 after 3 years of incubating, workshops, presentations, and events, such as “Dreaming Awake,” an ethnopsychology and experimental ethnographic seminar. We bridge oral history and traditional Afro-Indigenous practices with modern applications for spiritual development and mental-emotional wellness. DREAM School is currently developing K-12 curriculum packs for cultural preservation and dissemination. The DREAM School mobilizes Afro-Indigenous coalitions to preserve ancestral wisdom and create actionable plans for global liberation by supporting entrepreneurship and alternative economies.
