School Backpacks for Students in Foster Care

Hi, my name is Collin Sanchez. I am a member of troop 841, Boy Scouts of America, located in Whittier California. For my eagle project I will be assembling 100 back to school backpacks for a nonprofit organization called New Alternatives, located in Santa Ana California. The backpacks & school supplies will be given to displaced children who after being removed from their home by order of Family Court may not have the time or space to gather school supplies. My project will give these children the needed supplies to be successful in school during a time of transition. The backpacks will also allow the children to do school work in their foster home.
