School band missions trip to Japan
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Hasani Hunt and I am preparing for a musical missions trip to Japan December 6-24, 2023. During our time in Japan, we will perform concerts and share the gospel through song, through our testimonies, and through post-concert conversations. Dr. Jensen, Professor of English at Lee University, someone who served as a missionary to Japan for two years and continues to travel back to that country, describes how Japanese people are remarkably interested in American people, places, and customs. Japanese people seem most open to the gospel during the Christmas season. They know about the trappings of Christmas (Christmas trees, lights, etc.), but they do not know about Jesus. A fraction of one percent claim to be Christians.
Our goal is to spread the gospel and serve the churches in Japan by performing concert Christmas music and sing-a-long Christmas carols in Japanese. At each performance Dr. Jensen, a Japanese pastor, or a missionary will present the gospel in light of the birth of Jesus. In many cases members of the ensemble will have an opportunity to share their testimonies. We have one or more performances each day in churches and other venues except for one day for sight-seeing midway through our time in Japan. Dr. Patty, a professor of music at Lee University, is our music director.
To accomplish this ministry, I need your help. Here is the breakdown of my expenses:
Pay for my entire expenses $2,500
Pay for my roundtrip airfare $1,500
Pay for my hotel room for a night $45
Pay for my meals for a day $35
Thank you, in advance for your help. You are making it possible for lives to be transformed by the gospel. Please join with us in prayer that God will move mightily in Japan and expand his kingdom.
In His service and for His glory.
