School employee shot by trespassers

Hello my name is Raelena. My dad, Paul Tafoya is the head of maintenance at Kennedy Middle School of the Albuquerque Public School System in Albuquerque New Mexico. This morning he arrived at work just before 5am when he found a group of 3-4 trespassers on campus. He attempted to ask them to leave. Upon doing so the group attacked him and while he was on the ground, they shot him 2 times in the back. My dad then drug himself to the road where he was found. He is currently listed as being in critical condition in the ICU. He has a shattered spine and shoulder as well as a collapsed lung. He is also currently on a ventilator. My dad is the primary guardian and provider of my nephew. We are reaching out for assistance to support my nephew as well as manage my dads bills while he heals from his injuries, and his hospital bills. Our goal of $5000 is just a starting point as we don’t know what his hospital bills will look like after all this. Please help in any way you can, even if it is a share of this information.
