School for Girls in Afghan Village

Donation protected
Many Afghan girls in the Village of Paktia (Mominkhil),  Afghanistan, have never been able to attend school. There aren't many girls schools in the Village, or opportunities for them to get an education, nor is anyone willing to risk their time and resources to try to make it happen.

However, now, my cousin, Muhmadwali, who lives in that area, has taken upon himself to provide education for these girls in that (Mominkhil) part of town. There are 33 girls, ranging from ages 5-13, now being taught in Muhmadwali's living room everyday (except Friday) from 1pm to 4pm.

They need OUR help to build a separate room dedicated to this "class", instead of using his living room. The class has become very popular, however, every time guests come over he has to dismiss class and send the girls home. If you want to see this learning opportunity to continue and to stand, and maybe even become a "school", then we need to help start the foundations by helping  him build a classroom.

The girls are not only learning to read and write, but also learning other content area subjects. They are all very excited and enjoy having this class and this teacher, and are learning more than ever! Once funds are collected, I will hand them over to my brother, and he will deliver them, personally, to Muhmadwali (the teacher) and Muhmadwali will start building the classroom with the funds.

Please contribute whatever you can. Even a dollar can help. Every letter the students write, and every notebook they fill we will be getting closer to our goal: education empowerment for the girls of Paktia, Afghanistan !
