School for Sherpa Children in Nepal
Donation protected
Myself and 8 friends are travelling to Nepal to trek in the beautiful Mustang region, north west of Annapurna in March and April this year.
So that we are not simply tourists, we decided to fund a project along the way, and have decided to help raise funds for a School for Sherpa Children in Kathmandu.
Sherpas are an amazing people. Living predominantly at high altitudes enables them to carry large weight and ascend the Himalaya range more easily than most other humans. Besides their big lungs, they have huge hearts, but they are quickly losing their culture and language, so we believe that helping to build a school specifically for Sherpa children is a great way to help them keep their culture.
All money received will go directly to the school building fund.
Please have a look at the websites
www.peekyhill.org and www.wearesherpa.org
to get an idea of what we are helping with. Thanks in advance for your wonderful support
Cheers
