School Supplies for Nkoaranga Primary School

Donation protected
Year 3 at Seaton Sluice First School are raising money to support Nkoaranga Primary School in Tanzania.

Nkoaranga Primary School is located in the Meru district near Arusha, in Tanzania. Despite only having a few highly-skilled and dedicated teachers, one class in this school educates up to 60 children each day, all varying in age. The school has 320 children in total.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding and resources, pupils at Nkoaranga often go without basic necessities such as pencils, pens and notebooks.
Alike many schools in Tanzania, and across Africa, some children can walk up to 3 miles to and from school, just to access an education each day.

Year 3 children will be walking a 5 mile round trip, from Seaton Sluice First School along the coast to Blyth Beach and back, to raise money to buy and send some school supplies to children at Nkoaranga Primary School.
The length of our walk was chosen personally by Year 3 pupils after hearing how far some young children have to walk to get to their school each day in Tanzania.

Our aim is to support the school with some basic supplies, such as pencils, pens and notebooks.
Any remaining funds will be used to purchase additional equipment such as footballs, colouring crayons and story books- all personal suggestions from our pupils in Year 3.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated and will be contributing to a very worthy cause.

Thank you from Year 3 at SSFS!
