WHY?
There are more people today in slavery than ever before. The estimated number of people is 27 million. This is more than double the number taken from Africa during the transatlantic slave trade.
Human trafficking is a $32 billion industry worldwide.
These figures horrify us.
We volunteer with Free to Shine in Sydney. Together we believe that children should be in schools and not brothels. We believe in empowering girls through education to become leaders in their own communities.
We want to make a short video to get the word out about Free to Shine and highlight the importance of girls education.
Small acts can make a huge difference and this is where we need you.
This project is big ... We now have 30 days to make it happen!

MEET THE TEAM
Amy: Me. A London girl now living in Bondi, passionate about teaching and laughing.. ALOT. A trip to Cambodia last year really inspired me.
Here, I witnessed a hidden industry that really scared me and made me want to make a change.
The girls I met told me stories of determination .They told me that they wanted to go to school to become doctors, nurses, lawyers and social workers. This is so they could change the future of their own villages for themselves.
Alex: Our youngest advocate and superstar. This girl at the age of nine has done the lot.... fun runs, cake sales, public speaking and sponsors Streynit in Cambodia to go to school. She is now a creative genious and oscar winning actress in our first ever video.
Annie: Gorgeous Annie, mother of Alex (and twins !!) believes that like her terrific three, every girl should have the right to be safe and go to school. As well as being a full time single mum, this inspring lady is dedicating her spare time to make this video.
Gino: A local Bondi, guitar playing, fluro surfing, actor and director dudeee. This guy knows his stuff and where his values align to. He decided to quit working in media agencies to work on projects which were more tuned in with his own beliefs. He has a passion for mindful and conscious projects.
THE FACTS
REWARDS
Ecoethical have teamed up with this project to offer some beautiful rewards.
Living in an underprivileged community approximately 30 minutes from Phnom Penh, Cambodia, artisans make jewellery from recycled bomb shellsand bullets. These artisans use bomb casings left over from Cambodia's wartime three decades ago. These artisans skillfully mold bomb shells into beautiful jewelry pieces.
With the support of Craftworks Cambodia, the artisans generate an income that will provide their families and their communities the chance at a better future. Through Craftworks Cambodia, the artisans make a fair wage for their work and receive support for education and training in the communities in Cambodia
