Scituate HOSA Stroke Awareness

We are three seniors attending Scituate High School, looking to fundraise for Stroke victims. We have chosen the Stroke Support Association to empower stroke survivors and their families with resources to recover, reclaim, and rebuild their lives. We have competed in Medical Innovations for the past two years designing a prototype to help stroke victims regain their hand function, now we have ventured on to Community Awareness, spreading information and awareness to and about stroke victims so their stories can be heard.

More information about the Stroke Support Association: They offer free, separate support groups for stroke survivors and family members, both in-person and on Zoom, as well as education and resources. Their Hospital Visitors Program sends trained members from our stroke survivor group to visit new stroke patients in the hospital.
