Saving A Child, Losing a Child

Thank you once again for all of your support! We are turning off this fundraiser in triumph. EJoe is 'out of the woods' and the family is moving forward. We are overjoyed at the amount that has been raised. We are so thankful to be able to overcome challenges thanks to your help.

Six-year-old Laura Fae could light up a room, laughing and twirling in her fanciest costume! She tore up the dance floor at our latest family wedding just a few months ago.

Her 12-year old brother Evan Joseph, “E-Joe,” was a caring brother – protective, strong, and very outgoing! He loved making up new games to play.

With deep sadness, we share that on Saturday, June 13th,  E-Joe and Laura Fae were in a horrible car accident. Laura Fae tragically lost her life. E-Joe is fighting for his life at UNC Children's Hospital in North Carolina, where he is in critical condition.
 
E-Joe sustained multiple injuries including severe head trauma, broken ribs and others we are still learning of. He is in a medically induced coma. Doctors are doing their best while we pray that he makes it through.

Laura Fae will be deeply missed. There are no words to describe the loss of a child. And no one is suffering more than their mother Carrie, who is my stepsister.

Carrie’s family needs our prayers and support. E-Joe has a long road to recovery ahead. Carrie must relocate her life because EJoe’s hospital is miles away from home, make arrangements for Laura Fae’s burial, and remain strong while grieving the loss of her daughter.

This Go Fund Me is to help cover extensive medical bills, a proper burial for Laura, housing and relocation expenses. The funds will be managed by myself and Carrie's sisters to take care of related expenses.

Please keep E-Joe, Laura Fae and Carrie Davis in your thoughts and prayers. This pain is unimaginable. They need the support of family, friends and community. We will continue to update the condition of E-Joe. Thank you for your help!!!!
