Scootaville 23 - Tax Deductible funds for Legacy
Donation protected
Those who were trained so well to confront battle in Vietnam, East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the many peace-keeping missions undertaken by the ADF, were often not prepared to deal with the aftermath. As a result, the ex-service community is plagued by depression, alcohol problems, PTSD and mental illness; these issues also impact the families and loved ones of the ADF members.
The Radschool Association Inc, is a registered charity that was formed in 1999 to represent the men and women who were trained by the Air Force to maintain or operate its electronic equipment. The association encourages connection and mateship among its 1400-plus members through its magazine, website, social media, reunions, and through fundraising events.
To support the families of ADF members, the Radschool Association is running Scootaville where a group of ex-Service men and women will ride small motor scooters from Ipswich to Townsville to raise funds for Legacy. We are setting off on the 24th August and will arrive in Townsville 8th of September.
In the centenary year of Legacy, we are aiming to raise $100,000. Your tax-deductible donation is greatly appreciated by Legacy and the Scootaville crew.
