Scotlands legal fight.

Hello, I'm Amy, the founder of Stop the XL Bully Ban Scotland. Our group aims to make sure the laws regarding dog breeds in Scotland are fair and sensible. Given the recent announcement to ban the XL Bully, we've decided to take legal action against the government.

We need to ensure our voices are heard effectively within the legal framework. However, legal proceedings can be expensive and are likely to exceed our personal resources. These expenses include initial costs and ongoing fees associated with pursuing a judicial review.

In the unfortunate event that we can’t proceed with the legal challenge, we pledge to allocate the raised funds towards assisting dog owners in Scotland with the financial burden of neutering their pets.

If we succeed and there's money left over, we'll donate it to a Scottish animal rescue organisation to support their work.

We know legal battles are uncertain, but we're staying positive.

Our solicitor is Ciara Young from Clarity Simplicity. Our advocate prefers to stay anonymous for now, but they're a public law advocate and a trustee at the Edinburgh Cats and Dogs Home.
