Scott Altman's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
In 2009, Scott was hospitalized with end stage liver failure. Doctors told me he had an 8% chance of surviving. He pulled through and was added the liver transplant list. A few years ago, we were told his kidneys were begining to fail and that he would need a double transplant for a liver and kidney. He was added to the kidney transplant list.
After a call to 911 this July, Scott was admitted to the ICU. He was having complications from the liver disease and decreased kidney function, including having to be put on a ventilator for a few days. He gave us quite a scare! After he was stabilized his doctors informed us that Scott would need to start dialysis treatments.
Scott continued dialysis after leaving the hospital, and we completed training to be able to treatments at home. Now, we perform his dialysis treatments at home every night.
His co-pays and other costs, after insurance are over $1,000 a month. Moreover, our estimated cost, after insurance, is projected to be around $30,000. We appreciate any help you can give to pay for continued medical bills and home dialysis supplies. Thank you!
