Scott, Alyx and Delilah Bumpus need support!

Hi there! My name is Kayla and I am Scott’s daughter, Alyx’s sister and Delilah's aunt!

Yesterday afternoon, someone drove through their home and completely destroyed about half of the house. The trailer is off it’s foundation and it’s unsafe to go inside. Depending on what happens next, they have pretty much lost everything.

We are still waiting to hear back about the man in the truck. We heard he may have had a Seizure. He hit the house at 50mph with no breaks. to quote Scott, “It felt like an earthquake or an explosion.” The trailer was so damaged he had to grab Delilah and climb out of the open side of the trailer. Alyx was at work at the time and we are so thankful for that.

We are unbelievably blessed that Alyx, Delilah and Scott are okay! Not a scratch on them! The truck hit Alyx’s bedroom and if she had been in there she would have been seriously injured or worse. Both herself, Delilah and Scott had all been in that area of the home within 15 minutes of this accident occurring.

We are thinking of the man who hit the home and are hopeful that he will also make it out of this okay. I will update this post as I hear more.

Any support from friends and family to help get Scott, Alyx and Delilah back on their feet would be immensely helpful. We are also looking for baby clothes, a crib, supplies or anything else someone might be able to spare for little Delilah.

I love these people with everything I have and although they now are joking “we’re homeless” (because both Alyx and Scott are some of the most care free people I know, and their humor precedes them)

I am absolutely heartbroken that they have lost everything they’ve built and own.
