Scott and Petas recovery journey
Donation protected
Please help this family get through one of the toughest battles they are yet to face, it’s going to be a long recovery but if anyone can do it this duo can!
**update - 5/1/23 Scott’s out of icu now and in the spinal ward . He’s keeping positive and has regained a lot more strength in his arms. The family are so appreciative of everyone’s donations and words of support, this money allows Peta to be with Scott without the worry of financial commitments they have both being off work, it’s also allows for modifications to be made to their home to accomodate Scott when he returns to his family home. Our community is amazing and it’s so beautiful to see, thank you again to every single one of you. We will continue to post updates to keep everyone up to date on Scott’s progress xox **
Scott got dumped hard by a wave on Wednesday 28/12/22 at secret harbour beach he has broken his neck in two places , Peta his beautiful life partner realised something was wrong and literally just made it in time before he drowned as he lost all movement in his entire body and was floating face down in the water. He is currently in the intensive care unit at RPH after being air lifted by helicopter. His spinal cord is not severed, however he is currently paralysed from the armpits down. We have hope that he may be able to regain feeling and movement over time . He has a long hard journey ahead and we can only hope and pray for a full recovery. As they both will be spending endless hours, days, weeks and possibly months back and forth at hospital this will impact them financially as they are both not able to work and have a large family with 6 children.
