Scott and Shelly - treatment
Hello friends
This is Shelly and Scott Brittell, friends in need
When Shelly was 15 years old she and Scott
became sweethearts and they have been
married 21 years. They’ve gone through
good times and tough times and right now
they are facing some pretty tough times.
Shelly has been dealing with a series of health issues, which has been difficult, but recently
they learned that Scott has early stage
cancer.
The best treatment they and their doctors
have found is specific and costly (the total will be about $25,000) but it has the least side
effects and is very targeted. It’s called
HIFU.
My name is Lynn, I’ve known Shelly for about 18 years. She helped me get a desk job
when I was overwhelmed and exhausted from
running my own business. Shelly started
working at an investment firm in 1995, but
due to changes at the firm last year she lost
her job of nearly 25 years.
Scott has also been on furlough since March of last year. Health issues and unemployment
can be very daunting but both of them are
striving to keep a positive attitude, keep their
faith strong and stay focused on what they can do.
Some friends have offered to help, and to
assist in organizing this help we’ve created
this gofundme effort. Our goal is to raise as
much as possible for Scott’s treatment.
