SCOTT BEELER MEDICAL AND MONTHLY BILLS FUNDRAISER

FACEBOOK FAMILY, My name is Jerry Lupton, and I am setting up this GOFUNDME page for my good friend Scott Beeler. Scott and his wife Linda have fallen on hard times. Scott is a master auto mechanic from Portsmouth, VA. In 2000, Scott had his left leg amputated above the knee due to a significant infection after a knee replacement. For the last 22 years, Scott has worked continuously as an auto mechanic with this disability to support his family. I have never heard him complain about his disability or ask for assistance, and I have been amazed by his can-do attitude and drive.

In August 2022, Scott’s right knee required replacement for a fifth time. After the surgery, Scott developed a significant infection in the replaced knee; he received massive amounts of antibiotics to treat the infection. With the infection spreading and his life in danger, the only option was to amputate his right leg. A day after the amputation, while Linda and her sister were visiting him at the hospital, someone stole the catalytic converter from their only car in the parking lot.

Scott came home from the hospital on October 24 and is recovering. Scott has never asked for a handout. I know that once he recovers, he will find a way to get back to work supporting his family. It will be tough for a double amputee like Scott, but if anybody can rise above it, it’s SCOTT!
