Scott Dupree Medical Fund Campaign

Donation protected
Early Sunday morning of March 17, 2019, as he was preparing to leave home for a fishing tournament, Scott Dupree, resident of Wake Forest, NC was the victim of a massive stroke.  Luckily Scott, after lying in his front yard for an unknown period of time, was noticed by a neighbor who contacted Emergency Medical Services.

Results of the initial tests and brain scan, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC were not good.  Early reports indicated brain damage and for the next three days, Scott’s life was in jeopardy as family, friends and fellow employees began a prayer vigil for his life and recovery.

For the next three weeks, Scott remained in the Intensive Care Unit at Wake Med, eventually showing signs of progress that allowed him to leave ICU and begin a long road to recovery.  At this time, nine weeks later, Scott remains at Wake Med undergoing therapy that we all hope will one day allow him to return to a more normal life.

We know that Scott’s road to recovery is a very long one.  But he has already shown tremendous will and determination.  Having celebrated his 49th birthday only two weeks before his stroke, this young man deserves the opportunity to rebuild his life – our goal is to assist him in doing that!

Scott has been employed by Southeastern Wholesale Tire Company in Raleigh, NC since 2014.  The employees and management of Southeastern Wholesale Tire and K&M Tire Company are organizing a Medical Fund campaign for anyone who would like to assist with Scott’s medical expenses, that are increasing daily.
